Sorry Day 2014

On the 26th of May to recognize National Sorry Day 2014, East Kenwick Primary School will be having a “Purple Day”. We ask that students bring a gold coin donation and wear something purple. Money raised will go towards our NAIDOC celebrations this term.

What a MOORDITJ celebration we had at school for Harmony Day. I am very proud of the group of students who sung the Wanjoo Song to welcome everyone. You all sung from your hearts and sounded awesome! Too Dardy!

Have a good weekend. See everyone next week.

KAYA MOORT HELLO FAMILIES
Welcome to our new blog page. We wont be doing IndigeNews anymore. Instead we will be sharing information here and you can also check out our coolangars art work and classroom work!

Just a quick note to say 'Hello" again to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and students returning to EKPS and 'Welcome' to our new families.

This year we have 3 Aboriginal and Islander Education Officers Carrie Millson, Geraldine Martin and Tony Cooper. Mrs Martin is here Mondays and Tuesdays. Miss Millson is here Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and Mr Cooper is here Thursdays and Fridays. Please feel free to come in and yarn with us if you have any questions or concerns. Our office is in the Senior Block next to Room1. (enter through the bag area next to Room2). Usually the afternoons are the best time to catch us. Or call the front office on 9459 1251 and arrange a time to come and see us.
